Our range of jackets and coats is quite large. This doesn't exactly make it easier to decide which jacket to buy. However, we want to offer a real, sustainable alternative with our range and have the right jacket and coat for every situation and every need - always produced sustainably and fairly.

Which season should the jacket or coat be suitable for?
Ein leichter Mantel oder eine leichte Jacke für die warme Sommersaison, eine ultra warme und winddichte Pufferjacke für die kältesten Winterwochen oder für in die Berge? Ein eleganter Mantel für den Winter in der Stadt? Oder eine Übergangsjacke für den Frühling und den Herbst?
What activities would I like to do with the jacket or coat?
Wenn du viel in der Natur unterwegs bist, ist eine wind- und wetterfeste Outdoor-Jacke oder eine Fleecejacke sicher eine gute Wahl. Pendelst du damit bloss zur Arbeit, passt ein schöner Wollmantel oder eine leichte Jacke vielleicht besser. Und falls du auch bei Regen aufs Velo steigst, haben wir Regenjacken oder Regenponchos, die man klein verpacken und immer in der Tasche haben kann für alle Fälle.
Should the jacket have a function?
Unter «Funktion» versteht man bei Kleidung, Schutz für Wind und Regen. Wie gut eine Regenjacke vor Nässe schützt, wird dabei meist in einer Wassersäule angegeben. Eine Wassersäule von 10‘000 mm gilt dabei als komplett wasserdicht, ab einer Wassersäule von 5‘000 mm bist du aber auch schon gut geschützt vor Wind und Wetter.
Do you want to combine the jacket?
Some jackets are designed for layering, i.e. for wearing in layers, combined with another jacket. Softshell jackets are a good example of jackets that can be worn under another jacket or under a coat. They are not water-repellent themselves, but simply keep you warm. If it's not raining, you can wear it as your only jacket; if it is raining, simply put on another jacket or coat over it.
