For some of our brands, the focus on women is an important part of their identity, keyword "women empowerment". Their aim is to empower women, especially in areas where women are socially disadvantaged, and to enable them to lead a self-determined life with fairly paid work and good working conditions. The team often discusses whether we should divide our gift ideas into the conservative gender categories of "men" and "women". The only reason we still do this is because of the search terms our customers use to find gifts for their loved ones. "Gifts for men" and "gifts for women" are still the most important terms used to search for gifts in Switzerland. If we leave out these word combinations, we will hardly be found in Google searches. So we are forced to continue using them, but we also clarify and hope that together we will soon find better terms for searching for gifts.
